Microsoft regularly updates the Windows operating system to add new features and fix bugs and issues. Although Microsoft does extensive testing before pushing out updates, Windows updates sometimes cause more issues than fixing them.
If your Windows 11 PC is not working correctly and you suspect an update is responsible for the issue, you might want to check if an update was installed recently.
Luckily, finding recently installed updates is easy, as Windows 11 keeps a list of all installed updates.
View recently installed Windows 11 Updates
Here is how to view recently installed updates in Windows 11.
Step 1: Open the Windows 11 Settings using the Start or taskbar search or Windows + I keyboard shortcut.
Step 2: On the left pane of the Settings app, click Windows Update to see all settings and options available for Windows Update on the right side of the page.
Step 3: Now, on the right side, click Update history.
Step 4: Finally, click Quality Updates to view all recently installed quality updates. Quality updates generally include fixes and security updates. They might also include new features and options.
NOTE: The page may not display recently installed feature updates. As you likely know, feature updates are typically released once a year to add new features to the operating system. The last feature update was 24H2.
As you can see in the picture, the page displays the installed date next to each update so that you can easily know when an update was installed.
You may click the Learn more link next to an update to know all about the update, including the update release date, what it includes, and known issues. We suggest you search the web with the KB number (shown next to the update entry) of the update to check if other users are also reporting issues after installing the update.
If you are sure that an update is causing issues on your Windows 11 PC, you may consider uninstalling it.
To uninstall an update, click the Uninstall update option present on the same page and then click the Uninstall option offered next to an update to uninstall and remove it. Note that all updates can be uninstalled. Refer to our how to uninstall an update in Windows 11 guide for step-by-step directions.
