How to get Copilot in Office Word and Outlook?
If you are wondering how to install Copilot in Office Word and Outlook programs, you will be disappointed to know that Copilot is not being offered as a separate app for Office Word and Outlook programs. In fact, as of writing this article, Copilot for Microsoft Office is not free!
Unlike Windows, the Copilot for Microsoft Office apps is not offered as an individual app. It’s part of the latest version of Microsoft Office 365, and you need to use a Microsoft account subscribed to an eligible Microsoft Office 365 plan to begin using it.
In order to get the Copilot feature in Office Word, Outlook, and other apps, individual users must purchase a Microsoft Office 365 Personal or Family subscription.
In short, you cannot get Copilot in Office apps without subscribing to Microsoft Office 365 plans.
Update your Microsoft Office 365 apps to get Copilot
If you have been using Microsoft Office 365 Personal or Family subscription but are unable to enable or use Copilot, it’s likely because you are running a version of Microsoft Office 365 suite that does not support Copilot.

Enable or disable Copilot
If you have subscribed to Microsoft Office 365 Personal or Family subscription and also running the latest version of Office 365 apps, you may need to enable Copilot first in order to start using it.
