Microsoft’s decision to replace Windows Mail and Outlook Classic/Old apps with the Outlook New app has not gone well with Windows users. Most Windows 10 and 11 users are not happy with the Outlook New app and are looking for alternatives.
A quick internet search reveals that a majority of Windows users prefer the old Windows Mail and old/classic Outlook apps over the New Outlook.
The introduction of the New Outlook app is pushing users to search for alternative email client apps for the Windows operating system. While plenty of free and paid email management software is available, some users want to know if installing the Apple Mail app from macOS on a Windows 11/10 PC is possible.
Is the Apple Mail app available for Windows 11/10?
Unfortunately, Apple Mail is meant only for Apple operating systems. It’s not officially available for Windows or Linux.
Apple has very few apps for Windows. Apple Music, Apple Devices (replacement for Apple iTunes for Windows), iTunes, Apple iCloud, and Apple TV are the only apps by Apple for Windows. The Apple Safari for Windows and Apple QuickTime Player for Windows have been discontinued long ago.
Can I install the Apple Mail app on a Windows 11/10 PC?
Apple does not offer the Apple Mail app for the Windows operating system. Because of this, we cannot install it in Windows 10 or 11.
The only way to get it on a Windows 11/10 PC is to install macOS in a virtual machine like VirtualBox, and then use the Apple Mail app, but then it’s not a convenient method.
Alternatives to Outlook New app in Windows 11/10?
As said before, plenty of alternatives to the Outlook New app exist. Mozilla Thunderbird, em Client, MailSpring, and Mailbird are some of the email clients available for Windows.
