Windows 11 not only automatically checks for updates for the Windows operating system but also checks and installs driver updates.
With default installation settings, Windows 11 automatically checks for driver updates and installs them whenever newer versions of device drivers are available unless you have changed the default settings to stop Windows 11 from automatically updating device drivers.
While the latest version of device drivers is always recommended, and device manufacturers do their best to roll out stable versions, at times, newer versions of device drivers might cause significant issues.
If you are encountering an issue on your Windows 11 PC and feel that a device driver is causing it, you might want to check if the driver was updated recently.
Thankfully, finding recently updated device drivers is easy in Windows 11 as it keeps a list of recently updated device drivers.

This guide shows you how to find recently updated device drivers in Windows 11.
Step 1: Open Windows 11 Settings using search or Windows logo + I hotkey.
Step 2: On the left pane of the Settings app, click Windows Update to see Windows Update settings on the right side.
Step 3: Now, on the right side, click Update history.
Step 4: On this page, click Driver updates to see a list of recently updated device drivers. If you cannot see the option, please scroll down the page and then check again.
As you can see in the picture below, the page also displays the date when the driver was last updated, as well as the driver version number. You can search the web with the driver version number if the driver is stable and causing trouble for other users.
NOTE: Note that the page uses the term “installed” even for the updated driver, which might cause some confusion.
If you are sure that a recently updated device driver is responsible for the issue, you can consider restoring the previous version of the driver by referring to the directions in our how to restore the previous version of a driver in the Windows guide.
